Clermont County, Ohio Inmate Search

In Clermont County, an inmate search is a query any member of the public may submit to the Sheriff’s Office to obtain crucial information about the county’s incarcerated population, including bond amounts, charges, and housing locations. The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the normal operations of the county jail.

The sole full-service adult detention facility for Clermont County is the Clermont County Jail. Regardless of the arresting agency, such as the municipal police departments in Union Township or Miami Township, all adults taken into police custody in Clermont are ultimately transported to and detained at this jail pending the judicial proceedings.

Exceptions exist, however. A person arrested in Clermont County may later be transferred to state or federal custody. In these cases, the interested party may inquire at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) (for state inmates) or the Federal Bureau of Prisons (for federal inmates).

Further, juveniles arrested on delinquency allegations in Clermont do not generally end up at the Clermont County Jail. Instead, they are detained at the Clermont County Juvenile Detention Center.
